Mehmet Ulumaskan (56), who killed his wife Hülya Ulumaskan (52) with a shotgun in the Serik district of Antalya, committed suicide with a pistol.

The incident occurred around 02:30 in the Dikmen neighborhood of Serik district. Mehmet Ulumaskan had an argument with his wife Hülya Ulumaskan in the garden of their house for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Mehmet Ulumaskan shot his wife multiple times with a shotgun he retrieved from the house. He then entered the house and shot himself in the head with a pistol. Neighbors and Ulumaskan's children, who heard the sounds, arrived at the scene.

WOMAN DIED AT THE SCENE

Upon notification, a large number of ambulances and police teams were dispatched to the area. It was determined that Hülya Ulumaskan had lost her life. Mehmet Ulumaskan, who was taken to Serik State Hospital, could not be saved. It was learned that the couple had 4 children and had moved to Antalya about 10 years ago.

After the autopsies conducted at the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute, the bodies were taken by their children and relatives to be buried in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa.
