Canberk Yalçın, a factory worker living in the village of Domurcalı in the Süloğlu district, reported to the District Gendarmerie Command yesterday morning that his father Şerif Yalçın, with whom he lived, was missing. Canberk Yalçın, who was questioned by the gendarmerie, stated that he and his wife went to a religious gathering in the village at night, and when they returned home, they thought his father was asleep because the light in his father's room was off. Yalçın explained that when they woke up in the morning and saw that his father was not at home, they filed a missing person report. Following the statements, gendarmerie teams began search operations in the village and its surroundings. Canberk Yalçın, who reported his father missing, also participated in the search efforts, but no results were obtained from the searches. SUSPICIOUS OF GENDARMERIE ACTIONSThe gendarmerie detained Canberk Yalçın due to his suspicious behavior and contradictory statements. In his interrogation, Canberk Yalçın stated that he killed his father with a gun, then dismembered him with an axe and threw the pieces into a stream near the village. Gendarmerie teams found the dismembered body of Şerif Yalçın in the stream around 03:00 today. It was also determined that Canberk Yalçın tried to burn the clothes stained with his father's blood after bringing them home. "I WAS AFRAID OF THE DIVISION OF THE INHERITANCE"In his statement, Canberk Yalçın mentioned that his father, who divorced his mother, wanted to marry another woman and that he committed the murder out of fear of the inheritance being divided over the 6 acres of land, which is highly valued in the village. After his procedures at the gendarmerie, Canberk Yalçın was referred to the courthouse.
