It was decided to liquidate surplus and economically obsolete vehicles in the public sector within the scope of the Public Savings and Efficiency Package. The Privatization Administration (ÖİB) has been authorized to carry out the sales of vehicles and construction machinery on behalf of public institutions, and the institution has completed its work in this regard.

According to information obtained from ÖİB, this initiative aims to sell public vehicles in a short period, organize the inventory, contribute to the public budget with the revenues generated from sales, and achieve savings in the public sector.

SALES WILL BE CONDUCTED THROUGH TENDER

Collaboration was established with the Ministry of Trade for the sales process. ÖİB will conduct the tenders through the "www.eihale.gov.tr" website, where the Ministry sells vehicles that are stuck in customs, using an auction method. This aims to facilitate the rapid execution of tenders in an electronic environment.

It is important for real and legal persons to register on the "www.eihale.gov.tr" site, regularly follow the announcements, and participate in the tender after depositing a cash guarantee to be able to purchase the vehicles put up for sale. The tenders will conclude after the highest bid is received. The vehicle purchased as a result of the tender must be collected from the relevant public institution, and individuals must register it in their name.

HIGH DEMAND FOR PUBLIC VEHICLES IS EXPECTED

The vehicles subject to sale will be kept by the relevant institutions and shown to the participants. The vehicles will be delivered directly to the winning bidders. So far, approximately 1,200 vehicle sale requests have been received from various public institutions by ÖİB. In the first phase, the deadline for the final bid for 11 vehicles has been set for January 20, Monday. In the following process, it is planned to hold tenders for 80 to 100 vehicles weekly. ÖİB expects high demand for public vehicles to be sold as second-hand.
