A driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed into a police car from behind in Çekmeköy. After the accident, the driver got out of the car and argued with the police. Following the incident, a scuffle broke out between the police teams and the driver's relatives who arrived at the scene. In the incident, four police officers were injured, and eight people were detained.

An automobile with the license plate 81 DV 098, allegedly driven under the influence, crashed into a police car from behind in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul at around 23:45.

DRUNK DRIVER AND RELATIVES ATTACKED THE POLICE

After the accident, the driver got out of the car and argued with the police teams. While the teams intervened with the individual, a person next to the driver informed their relatives. The relatives of the drunk driver, who arrived at the scene shortly after, attacked the police teams. As tensions rose between the parties, additional teams were dispatched to the scene.

POLICE INJURED, 8 PEOPLE DETAINED

While 8 people were detained for resisting a police officer, 4 police officers were injured.
