TEMPERATURES WILL RISE 6-7 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL

Experts stated that Turkey will be under the influence of warm air coming from Algeria in the new week, and that air temperatures across the country will rise 6-7 degrees above seasonal norms.

TEMPERATURE IN ISTANBUL WILL REACH 14 DEGREES

Experts announced that the south wind will start blowing more strongly tomorrow, and with the effect of the strong south wind, temperatures in Istanbul will reach 14 degrees. The south wind, which will be effective in Istanbul, may cause weakness and fatigue.

HOW WILL THE WEATHER BE TODAY?

Before the warm air coming from Algeria, there is an expectation of heavy rain in some areas today. According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is expected that a partly and very cloudy weather will be effective across the country today.

It is predicted that the southern and eastern Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean coasts, Central Black Sea coasts, Eastern Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the regions of Eskişehir, Konya, Sivas, Zonguldak, Sinop, Tokat, Elazığ, and Siirt will experience rainy weather.

In coastal areas, rain and heavy rain are expected, while in the inner and higher regions, precipitation will be seen in the form of mixed rain and snow; local heavy rainfall is expected in the regions of Antalya, Rize, Artvin, Şırnak, and Hakkari, as well as in the southern part of Çanakkale, western part of Balıkesir, and northern districts of İzmir. In the inner and eastern parts of the country, frost and freezing events, along with fog and local mist, are expected.

TEMPERATURES WILL DROP 3-5 DEGREES

It is predicted that air temperatures will decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the northern and inner regions, as well as in the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia, while there will be no significant change in other areas.

BE CAREFUL OF LOCAL HEAVY RAINS

Since the precipitation is expected to be locally strong in the regions of Antalya, Rize, Artvin, Şırnak, and Hakkari, as well as in the southern part of Çanakkale, western part of Balıkesir, and northern districts of İzmir, it is advised to be cautious and take precautions against possible adverse conditions.
