Furkan Duman, who lives in Elazığ, takes great care of his 1980 model car, which he named 'Horoz' (Rooster). Duman doesn't even let his friends get in the car without shoe covers.

26-year-old Furkan Duman, who lives in Elazığ, draws attention with the meticulous care he shows for his 1980 model Murat 131. Duman, who stated that he has owned the vehicle, which he named 'Rooster', for two years, said he sees it as a part of his family. He mentioned that only his mother and brother can ride in the car, while his friends can only get in with galoshes. Duman said, "We keep our galoshes in the back seat. If my friends get in, they can only do so with galoshes, and maybe not even that," he added.

HE REJECTED 400 THOUSAND LIRA

"THEY CAN ONLY RIDE WITH GALOSHES"

Expressing his attachment to the vehicle, Duman said, "I have owned this vehicle you see for two years, and I am its second owner. The car is a 1980 model and will turn 46 years old in a month. It has a birthday coming up in a month, and we will celebrate it. We value our car so much that we see it almost like a family member. Only my mother and brother can ride in the car. If my friends from outside want to get in, they can only do so with galoshes, and maybe not even that. We keep our galoshes in the back seat. I have a lot of issues with my friends and family about this. They say, 'Don't be so meticulous,' but I don't know. I see my car almost like my girlfriend," he said.

"I MISS IT WHEN I'M AWAY"

Duman, who stated that he cannot stay away from his car for long, said, "I value it so much that I feel sad even when I sit at home. Because I miss it even if I am away for just five minutes. I need to go and see it, sit in its seat, start the car, and hear its sound. I want to listen to its troubles. I can also share my troubles with it. I can say it is the only being that listens to me without expecting anything in return. Our car's nickname is 'Rooster'. Most people in Elazığ know this nickname. When they see it, they say, 'Rooster is coming' or 'Look, Rooster is here.' They also recognize me. No part of the car has been changed, only painted. Right now, as you can see, our license plate is from Elazığ. There is a lot of interest in the plate, but I have no intention of selling either my plate or my car. Someone offered 400,000 TL, but I didn't accept it. Can a person sell their child? No, they cannot. It is the same for me, and since I see it as my child, I have no intention of selling it," he concluded.
