A cold wave affecting the entire Turkey has particularly hit the Eastern Anatolia Region. According to meteorological data, the lowest temperature recorded last night across the country was minus 20 degrees Celsius in the village of Çanakyayla, located in the Adilcevaz district of Bitlis. Following Bitlis, Ağrı Eleşkirt recorded minus 17.9 degrees, and Ardahan Göle also recorded minus 17.9 degrees.

According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the lowest temperature measured in Turkey last night was recorded at minus 20 degrees in the village of Çanakyayla, located in the Adilcevaz district of Bitlis, while freezing temperatures were felt in many provinces and districts.

Freezing temperatures were also effective in Erzincan. The lowest temperature in the city was measured at -9.8 in Refahiye, -9.4 in Otlukbeli, and -8.3 degrees at Erzincan Airport.
