Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç visited the family of Atlas Çağlayan, who lost his life after being stabbed in a fight in Güngören, Istanbul, and conveyed his condolences to the grieving mother and father. Minister Tunç informed the family about the investigation being conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and stated that the judicial process would be followed. Tunç said, "We will follow the judicial process until the end. Whatever is necessary will be done to ensure that justice is fully served."

Atlas Çağlayan was stabbed in a fight that occurred in Güngören, Istanbul, on January 14, 2026, and despite all interventions at the hospital, he lost his life. Following the incident, a wide-ranging investigation was launched by judicial authorities regarding the death, which caused a significant public outcry.
