The Ministry of Treasury and Finance is launching the \"Preparation for Audit File\" application, which will initiate a new era in tax inspections. With the new system, taxpayers will be able to see the information and documents requested from them electronically before the audit, complete their deficiencies, and make corrections. Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that the application is "revolutionary" in tax audit processes, emphasizing that their goal is to increase voluntary tax compliance before imposing penalties.
The Tax Inspection Board (VDK) of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance is launching the "Pre-Inspection Preparation File (VDK-PIPF)" application, which will accelerate tax inspection processes and strengthen the electronic audit infrastructure.
With the new system, the information and documents requested during tax inspections will be standardized.
PREPARATION CAN BE MADE BEFORE THE INSPECTION BEGINS
Thanks to the application, taxpayers will be able to see electronically which information and documents will be requested before the inspection begins.
Thus, they will be able to complete their preparations in advance and submit the necessary information and documents to the Tax Inspection Board in a standard format electronically.
OPPORTUNITY FOR CORRECTION WILL BE PROVIDED
One of the most striking features of the new system will be offering taxpayers the opportunity to make corrections before the inspection begins.
By being able to remedy deficiencies before proceeding to the audit process, both taxpayer compliance will be increased and inspection processes will be completed more quickly.
VAT REFUNDS WILL BE CONCLUDED MORE QUICKLY
The application is expected to provide significant convenience, especially in VAT refund inspections.
By presenting the information and documents requested in refund inspections completely and in a standard format, correspondence will decrease, the need to request documents again will be prevented, and processes will be completed in a shorter time.
USER-FRIENDLY GUIDANCE SYSTEM
The application, which will be used through the Petition and Information Submission System, will also feature user-friendly screens, guidance wizards, explanatory boxes, application guides, upload guides, and training videos.
In this way, it is aimed for taxpayers to create their preparation files completely without needing any additional support.
COMPLIANT WITH OECD STANDARDS
The application was developed in accordance with Turkey's needs based on the Standard Audit File for Tax methodology developed by the OECD.
MINISTER ŞİMŞEK: A REVOLUTIONARY STEP IN TAX INSPECTIONS
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that with the application, they aim to both strengthen the electronic audit infrastructure and increase taxpayers' voluntary tax compliance.
Şimşek said, "With this application, we are taking a revolutionary step in tax inspection processes while rapidly implementing the OECD's audit standards. Our goal is to increase our taxpayers' voluntary tax compliance and make their work easier before imposing penalties."
