The Central Bank has published sectoral inflation expectation data. Market participants noted that the inflation expectations of the real sector and households for the next 12 months have decreased compared to last month. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek also made an assessment on the matter. Minister Şimşek stated, "The improving trend in expectations and the decline in service inflation will continue to support the disinflation process."

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced the Sectoral Inflation Expectations data for December 2025.

According to the survey data announced by the CBRT, the annual inflation expectation of market participants for 12 months later decreased by 0.14 points compared to the previous month, reaching 23.35 percent, while the annual inflation expectation of the real sector for 12 months later decreased by 0.90 points compared to the previous month, reaching 34.80 percent. The annual inflation expectation of citizens for 12 months later decreased by 1.34 points in December compared to the previous month, reaching 50.90 percent.

HOUSEHOLD RATE DECREASED

The proportion of households expecting inflation to remain the same, decrease, or increase at a lower rate in the next 12 months has decreased. In December, the proportion of citizens predicting a decrease in inflation compared to the previous month was 24.53 percent, down by 0.30 points.

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek made evaluations regarding the sectoral inflation data. In a statement on the subject from his X account, Minister Şimşek said, "Inflation expectations for 12 months later have decreased by 12.2 points in households, 12.8 points in the real sector, and 3.7 points among market participants over the past year.

The improving trend in expectations and the decrease in service inflation will continue to support the disinflation process. With the contribution of policies that reduce supply-side risks and increase competitiveness, we aim to ensure price stability," he stated.
