Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that simultaneous operations were carried out in 22 provinces centered in Istanbul against the MLKP Armed Terrorist Organization. Yerlikaya reported that a total of 96 suspects were apprehended in the operations.
In the operations carried out in coordination with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Police Department, the IEM Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence Branches were involved. It was stated that the operations targeted individuals conducting activities through the organization's media and youth structures.
SIMULTANEOUS RAIDS IN 22 PROVINCES
Operations centered in Istanbul were conducted in Antalya, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Rize, Bursa, Van, Tekirdağ, Gaziantep, Samsun, Tunceli, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Kocaeli, Yalova, Balıkesir, Denizli, Ankara, İzmir, Sakarya, Adana, and Mersin. A total of 96 suspects were apprehended during the operations.
ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES IDENTIFIED ONE BY ONE
Security units determined that the apprehended suspects were conducting activities within the organization's youth, media, and propaganda structures. It was found that the suspects received instructions in online meetings attended by high-level executives of the organization, participated in the organization's 30th anniversary events and so-called memorial activities, and made posts containing organizational propaganda. An investigation has been initiated against the suspects.

In his statement, Yerlikaya emphasized that the fight against terrorism is not limited to operations in the field, expressing that a multidimensional struggle encompassing security, intelligence, communication, and international cooperation is being conducted. Yerlikaya stated that efforts are being carried out with determination to ensure peace and stability in every region of the country.
