Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to hiding Narin Güran's body by the stream, said that he was threatened with death by Narin's uncle, Salim Güran, who was in custody. Bahtiyar, who confessed, stated that Narin's lifeless body was given to him by his uncle Güran. Bahtiyar was arrested by the court.

A search operation was launched for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır. S.G, Narin Güran's uncle, was arrested by the duty magistrate's court on September 2.

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced last Sunday that Narin Güran's body was found at around 08.45 am by the Eğertutmaz Stream, hidden in a sack with stones, wearing her clothes.

As part of the investigation, 24 people, including Narin Güran's mother, father, two brothers, four uncles, and the wife of the arrested uncle S.G, were detained.
