According to a report by the Walla news site, based on unnamed sources close to Netanyahu, Yossi Shelley, Netanyahu's Chief of Staff, recently approached the Shin Bet Personal Security Advisory Committee to request a review of the security intensity around Yair. Worried that Iran and its agents would focus their reaction to the assassination attempt on Haniyeh on Israeli figures and targets abroad, Netanyahu requested increased security measures for his son Yair.

The Advisory Committee requested intelligence findings that would necessitate increased security measures, emphasizing that relying solely on instincts would not suffice. According to Walla, Yair Netanyahu (33), who has been living in Miami under the protection of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) since April 2023, has an annual cost of living of 2.5 million shekels (680,000 dollars).
