The Israeli prime minister announced on Tuesday he will visit Bahrain "soon" in response to an official invitation.
"I spoke with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa," Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted.
He said both the leaders are "very enthusiastic about the fact that we can bring the fruits of peace to our peoples and countries, in a very short time."
"Therefore, he extended an invitation to me to make a visit soon to Bahrain, and I will do it on your behalf and with pleasure," the premier added.
Bahrain followed the United Arab Emirates in normalizing ties with Israel in a deal brokered by the United States.
