In Izmir, a search was initiated by the police at the bank branch where H.Ö., the branch manager of Denizbank Bornova, was working, following the arrest warrant issued against him on charges of collecting 300 million lira from different individuals with the promise of high profits. A similar case to the Seçil Erzan case, where famous figures in the football world were allegedly defrauded with the promise of high profits, also occurred in Izmir. H.Ö., the manager of Denizbank Izmir Bornova branch and also the President of Karşıyaka Sports Club Basketball Youth Branch, allegedly collected money from a total of 5 people, including 2 club executives, with the promise of high profits. After it was determined that he collected money on behalf of S.Ç., who runs a currency exchange office in Karşıyaka, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) initiated an investigation on the matter. COLLECTED 300 MILLION LIRAMeanwhile, in the investigations, it was claimed that H.Ö. collected nearly 300 million lira, and the collected money was deposited in the account of S.Ç., the owner of a currency exchange office in Karşıyaka. It was also claimed that one of the victims gave nearly 100 million lira. ADMITTED TO PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE, REFUSES TO EATS.Ç., the owner of the currency exchange office, was taken into custody, while the bank manager H.Ö. attempted suicide by taking a large number of pills in the evening hours of the previous day. It was reported that Hatice Ö. was admitted to the psychiatry service at Bayraklı City Hospital for treatment. It was stated that Hatice Ö. refuses to eat and is unable to provide a statement according to the doctors. SEARCH AT THE BANK AND CURRENCY EXCHANGE OFFICEAfter the arrest warrant was issued against Branch Manager H.Ö., the Cyber Crimes Unit, coordinated by the Financial Crimes Unit, arrived at the bank branch to conduct a search. The teams seized digital materials during the search. After the completion of the search at the bank branch, the teams will proceed to the currency exchange office to conduct a search.
