The incident occurred in Vali Rahmi Doğan Park on Faikbey Street in the Ortakapı neighborhood. A dispute broke out between the two groups for an unknown reason.
HEAVY TOLL IN FIGHT LIKE A BATTLEFIELD
The argument quickly escalated into a knife fight. The injured included E.K. (19), A.Y. (20), B.Ö. (22), R.B. (20), K.K. (17), A.B. (17), and M.B. (19).
Upon notification from bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The first intervention for the injured was made by those nearby. After the medical teams' intervention, the injured were taken by ambulance to Kars Harakani State Hospital and Kafkas University Health Research and Application Center. It was reported that the condition of 2 of the injured was serious. Police teams took extensive security measures at the scene.
