Necla Özmen, who lives in Ankara, filed a paternity lawsuit claiming that her biological father is U.S. President Donald John Trump. The court ruled to dismiss the case, stating that the claim was not based on concrete evidence. Necla Özmen stated that she would appeal the decision.

Necla Özmen filed a paternity lawsuit on September 25 at the 27th Family Court in Ankara, claiming that her biological father is U.S. President Donald John Trump.

"MY MOTHER TOLD THE TRUTH"

In her lawsuit petition, Özmen stated that she was born in 1970 and is registered in the population records as the child of Satı and Dursun Özmen. Necla Özmen expressed that Dursun Özmen passed away in 2009 and that Satı Özmen, who raised her, told her the truth in 2017. Necla Özmen claimed that Satı Özmen explained that she gave birth to a stillborn baby in the hospital and that a woman named Sophia, who gave birth at the same time and claimed to be pregnant by Trump due to an illicit relationship at that time, gave her the baby she had delivered. Necla Özmen requested a DNA test to determine her father's identity.

THE COURT REJECTED THE LAWSUIT

The court decided to reject the lawsuit in its ruling dated October 10. The decision stated that despite the plaintiff's lack of any concrete evidence in her lawsuit petition, it was noted that she claimed Trump was her father. It was stated that the lawsuit petition was not appropriate, that the deficiency in the petition was not procedural but substantive, and that it was not possible for the court to grant a time extension to remedy this deficiency. The court ruled to reject the case on the grounds that a trial could not be conducted with facts and evidence that were not presented in accordance with the procedure and were not relied upon.

APPEALED THE DECISION

Speaking to DHA, Necla Özmen stated that she took the decision to the appellate court and also sent a petition to the U.S. Embassy and courts in the U.S. She claimed that the woman who registered her with their family was Sophia, saying, "After giving birth to me, the person who is a U.S. citizen named Sophia left me. I think they met there because my father was serving in NATO. 'Your father knows more detailed information,' said the mother who raised me. Since she passed away, I couldn't ask. Because in 2017, when I saw it in the news, the mother who raised me showed Trump and said, 'This person is your father.' My biological mother showed his picture when she handed me over. She provided the information about who my father is to the mother who raised me. That's how I know. I don't know how true it is. I just want to know if he is my father. I don't want to cause him any trouble, knowingly or unknowingly. I just want to know if he is my father. I would like him to talk to me. I can prove he is my father with a DNA test if he accepts," she said.
