RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR ESCALATESThe Russia-Ukraine war escalated after the US and the UK allowed the Kiev administration to use their long-range weapons on Russian territory last week. In response to the attacks carried out by Kiev with these missiles, Russia retaliated with consecutive ATACMS and Oreşnik missiles. PUTIN: IF YOU TEST OUR PATIENCE TOO MUCH, IT WILL EVENTUALLY RUN OUTWhile the course of the war remains uncertain, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a new statement. The Russian leader threatened the US and the West, which openly show their support for Ukraine. Putin stated, "If you test our patience too much, it will eventually run out." WHAT HAPPENED?In a statement regarding US President Biden's decision to attack deep into Russia, President Putin warned that the conflict in Ukraine has taken on a global nature and that Russia would respond similarly if tensions escalated. Putin announced that the newest medium-range missile, the Oreşnik missile, had been successfully tested, emphasizing that the use of the Oreşnik missile was a response to the US's plans to produce and deploy medium and short-range missiles. In his speech, he stated, "The combat tests of the Oreşnik missile system are being conducted by us in response to the aggressive actions of NATO countries against Russia," and noted that the decision to further deploy medium and short-range missiles by Russia would depend on the actions of the US and its satellites. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Oreşnik missile, which was used for the first time in the special military operation in Ukraine, successfully hit its target. The statement included, "In retaliation for the attacks carried out with long-range weapons made in the USA and the UK against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation, the Russian Armed Forces conducted a combined attack on a Ukrainian defense industry facility in Dnipro on November 21, 2024. In this attack, the Oreşnik medium-range ballistic missile, carrying a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead, was successfully used for the first time under combat conditions.
