The English woman who came to Istanbul with her boyfriend, defrauded a real estate agent of 14 million liras with the promise of buying a house. After the scam worth millions of liras, the woman fled to Paris. Her boyfriend, on the other hand, was caught while trying to escape on a Munich plane.
The real estate agent who wanted to sell a luxury house worth 140 million lira in Levent, Istanbul, was defrauded of 14 million lira by two lovers who came from England. Upon the complaint of the real estate agent, who took refuge at the police station, the police caught one of the suspects with 15 thousand euros on him while he was about to escape abroad on a Munich plane. It was determined that the woman, who was claimed to be the organizer of the incident, went to Paris on the same day with a different plane. The police are now after the woman and her collaborators in Turkey.
SAID HE WANTED TO BUY A 3 MILLION LIRA APARTMENT
The incident took place in a real estate office in Kağıthane on July 3rd. Allegedly, real estate agent M.G. received a luxury apartment sales job through another real estate agent. M.G. put the apartment up for sale for 3.2 million euros. A few days later, a British citizen named Florentina G. called the real estate agent and said that they wanted to buy the house on behalf of the company she worked for.
"COMMISSION" OFFER TO THE REAL ESTATE AGENT
The real estate agent said to M.G., "Let's show the selling price of the house as 4 million euros, which is approximately 140 million lira, and we will split the 800 thousand euros as commission."
CAME TO TURKEY ON THE SAME PLANE
When the real estate agent M.G. accepted this offer, the incredible plan of the English woman Florentina G. came into play. She said to the real estate agent, "I will arrange the sale, I want to see if you have that much money. Prepare the money and let me see." Florentina G., who arrived on the same plane as her business partner boyfriend, came to the real estate office in Kağıthane immediately. M.G. had put 400 thousand euros in an envelope and was waiting. The English woman took the envelope, examined it for a while, and put it in her bag. The real estate agent objected, saying, "You will receive the commission when the sale is completed, the money is ready here." Upon this, the woman did not object, took out the envelope from her bag, gave it back to the real estate agent, and left.
PUT 5 THOUSAND TL INSTEAD OF 14 MILLION LIRA IN THE ENVELOPE
After a while, the real estate agent suspected that the envelope given by the English woman was different. When he opened the envelope and looked inside, he was shocked. Instead of euros, there were Iranian rials in the envelope. The English woman had replaced the euros worth 14 million lira with an envelope containing Iranian rials worth 5 thousand lira.
POLICE TEAMS RACED AGAINST TIME
The teams of the Security Branch Fraud Bureau immediately understood the issue as soon as they received the notification. But the plan of the lovers who came from abroad for the scam was working flawlessly. A race against time began for the experienced Fraud Bureau teams.
CHANGED APPEARANCE AND MET WITH HER LOVER
They had to catch the two suspects before they left the country. The teams followed the woman who changed the envelope step by step by watching hundreds of cameras. After taking the money, the woman first went to the Grand Bazaar. She shopped at a store there and changed her appearance. Then she sat at a restaurant in Aksaray. She went to the restroom for a short time, and her business partner boyfriend, who had not been involved in the plan until now, entered through the same door. 30 seconds later, they left as if they didn't know each other.
CAUGHT WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE TO GERMANY
The two accomplices, whose aim was to lose their tracks, were followed step by step. The efforts paid off. It was determined that the two suspects were at the airport to leave the country. The Fraud Bureau teams caught Gıanı Nıcosur S., the suspect lover, on a Munich plane. Some of the money was also found on him.
"I DON'T KNOW HER, WE HAD A ONE-NIGHT STAND"
In the investigations, it was determined that the English woman had boarded a plane to Paris minutes ago and left the country. Gıanı Nıcusor, a British citizen with a Romanian passport, who was interrogated by the teams of the Security Branch Fraud Bureau, claimed that he had never met Florentina before and that they had a one-night stand here. He also claimed that the money was his own. After the procedures at the Security Branch Directorate, the suspect was referred to the courthouse. The police are now after the escaped English woman and her possible collaborators in the country.
