Galatasaray plans to part ways with Yusuf Demir, whose performance has been insufficient and whose contract will expire at the end of the season, during the winter transfer window. Suitable offers will be considered for the young player, who has been struggling to make it into the squad.
Galatasaray was unable to get the desired performance from Yusuf Demir, who joined the squad in the summer of 2022. The young footballer came on in the 17th minute to replace the injured Mario Lemina in the match against Gençlerbirliği in the Süper Lig, but he was substituted for İlkay Gündoğan at halftime.
Regarding Yusuf, who was not included in the squad for the Union Saint-Gilloise match, head coach Okan Buruk stated, "He said he had pain in his knee and did not attend training. He also had a lack of motivation. Kazımcan earned the jersey by working hard. Yusuf needs to work harder."
GREEN LIGHT FOR SEPARATION IN THE WINTER TRANSFER WINDOW
Galatasaray management has prepared a plan for the winter transfer window for Yusuf Demir, whose contract will expire at the end of the season. The yellow-reds are determined to evaluate a suitable transfer fee offer to prevent the player from leaving for free. The aim of the yellow-reds is to relieve the salary burden and to generate some income, even if small, from the young player.
PERFORMANCE WAS INSUFFICIENT
The 22-year-old player, who has played a total of 24 matches in a Galatasaray jersey, has contributed with a total of 2 goals and 2 assists in those matches.
