Pointing out that Seda Kaya Ösen, known for her hotel management, was appointed to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the shadow cabinet announced by the CHP, Burhan stated:

"Those who criticize 'a hotel owner cannot be the tourism minister' morning and night are now making a hotel owner the shadow Tourism Minister. By the same logic, it was said that the Minister of National Education cannot own a school, and the Minister of Health cannot own a hospital. So what has changed now?"
