Terrible incident in Antalya! A child playing on the beach died after being trapped under the sand.

The incident occurred yesterday around 11:30 AM on the beach across from 5th Street in Kum Neighborhood, Kumluca district. Teacher Emrah Yavuz went to visit his father, who lives in Kumluca, with his nurse wife Gülsüm Yavuz and their daughter Ezgi for the weekend. In the morning, Ezgi Yavuz started playing in the sand with her relative's son, Ahmet Serdar Ünver. However, at that moment, there was a collapse in the sand dune. The two children were trapped under the sand. Noticing the situation, the Yavuz couple rushed to help the children. Together with other families in the area, they managed to rescue the children. After the first intervention by the summoned medical team, Ezgi Yavuz and Ahmet Serdar Ünver were taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, Ezgi Yavuz, one of the children receiving treatment, passed away last night. Ahmet Serdar Ünver's treatment is still ongoing.

'GOODBYE MY DAUGHTER' WAVING

Ezgi Yavuz's body was handed over to her father Emrah Yavuz and relatives after the autopsy procedures conducted at the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution. The body of Ezgi Yavuz was taken to Uncalı Cemetery for burial. During the handover of the body, it was observed that Emrah Yavuz had difficulty standing. With the help of a relative, Emrah Yavuz was able to walk and cried while waving, saying "Goodbye my daughter" as he followed the funeral vehicle.
