Workers who were searching for the source of a foul smell coming from a construction site in Amasya found a male body in the ventilation shaft. The body, believed to have been in the same place for a week, was extracted from where it was trapped by breaking the wall by teams wearing oxygen masks. It is being considered that the lifeless body may belong to Ömer Furkan Aydın, a 35-year-old man who went missing in the neighborhood a week ago.
In a construction site in Amasya, workers found a male body in an unrecognizable state. Upon notification, the teams that arrived at the scene were able to remove the body from its location by wearing an oxygen mask due to the bad smell.
MALE BODY FOUND IN CONSTRUCTION SITE
According to the information received, the police, fire brigade, emergency health and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area upon the notification of a body in Göllü Bağları Neighborhood. The teams mobilized to remove the body trapped in the ventilation gap from its location.
THEY WERE ABLE TO REMOVE THE BODY BY WEARING AN OXYGEN MASK
After reaching the wall by breaking it, the body of a man in his 30s, which was removed with the efforts of the teams wearing oxygen masks, was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. The relatives of Ömer Furkan Aydın (35), who went missing in the neighborhood a week ago, also came to the scene.
UNRECOGNIZABLE BODY
The neighborhood headman Sezai Çınarcı said that the body was noticed by the workers. It was learned that the unrecognizable body will be sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the cause of death and identity.
