In an incredible incident in Brazil, a 9-month-old baby, who was declared dead in the hospital, showed signs of life during her own funeral. However, after being taken back to the hospital, the baby passed away shortly after. The incident occurred at the Faustino Riscarolli Hospital in Correia Pinto, Brazil. The baby, named Kiara Crislayne, was brought to the hospital on October 19 and was declared dead after examination. The family was in shock when they saw the baby move her hand and tightly hold a relative's finger inside the coffin during the funeral. The grieving father, Cristiano Santos, said, "First, we experienced the pain of losing our daughter, then a glimmer of hope arose. But this hope was very short-lived." The hospital administration stated that during the baby's initial examination, there was no pulse or breathing, the oxygen level was measured at 84 percent, and there were no signs of life on the heart monitor. The administration also admitted that they declared the baby dead 16 hours prior. The Brazilian Scientific Police Organization, which has launched an investigation into the incident, will complete its report within 30 days. The Correia Pinto Municipality also apologized to the family, stating, "Our healthcare workers receive regular training. Human life is always our priority." The final report to be prepared by the General Institute of Forensic Medicine regarding the incident is eagerly awaited.
