Started playing football in middle school, Nevide Çiçek (23), despite being crowned beauty queen and acting in TV series and movies, did not give up her passion for football.

"FOOTBALL IS ALWAYS MY PRIORITY"

Çiçek, who will take the field with 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football team in the new season, said, "I will show my love for football this season as well. Football is always my priority."

Living in Istanbul, Nevide Çiçek started playing football with her male friends on the school field in middle school. Çiçek, who started her football career at Güzeltepe Doğu Gençlik ve Spor, continued to play professional football for a while and also started modeling and acting.

CROWNED BEAUTY QUEEN IN 2021

Representing Turkey in the Miss Tourism Universe competition held in Lebanon in 2021, Nevide Çiçek won her first queen crown. Çiçek, who was crowned beauty queen in The Queen Eurasia Beauty Contest in 2022, also wore the 3rd place crown among contestants from 25 countries in the Miss Eurasia competition held in Moscow, Russia a few months ago. Çiçek, who also acts in TV series and movies, could not give up her love for football. Nevide Çiçek, who wants to bring her success on the catwalks to the football fields as well, transferred to 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football team for the new season. The young football player, who wants to have a successful season with her team, is eagerly waiting for the day she will take the field.

POSITION: DEFENSE

Nevide Çiçek, who says her passion for football comes from childhood, said, "I started playing matches with my friends in middle school. Then, with the support of my coaches, I wanted to show myself on the football fields. I was selected for the women's football team in middle school. I was playing in the defense position. I also do modeling. My coaches are very understanding about this. They welcome me with understanding when I can't come. Then they prepare a program for the extra training I do. I started modeling with the competition held in Lebanon. I represented Turkey there and won my crown. Then I came 3rd among 25 countries in the competition held in Russia."

"I'M IN LOVE WITH FOOTBALL"

Çiçek, who says that both playing football and modeling seem strange to people, said, "It's difficult to combine football and modeling, but I receive very positive feedback. Football is always my priority. I don't have anyone I look up to. I want to be a football player that my coach considers as an example. I am very happy with my team and I don't plan to leave. We want to take our team to the best places in the new season. Our team is very strong and our coaches are very good. I will show my love for football this season as well. I am a person in love with football," she said.
