The CHP's Yüreğir Mayor Ali Demirçalı, who was reported to have met with President Erdoğan, has once again come to the forefront with a banner he hung in the district. Demirçalı had a banner that read "Welcome to our Yüreğir, Mr. President" put up ahead of President Erdoğan's visit to the district.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel recently claimed that President Erdoğan offered a CHP mayor to switch to the AK Party, and it was revealed that the mayor in question was CHP Yüreğir Mayor Ali Demirçalı.
Following the allegations, Demirçalı made a statement confirming that he had met with Erdoğan, saying, "I thought a general discussion about Adana would take place. Our President welcomed us with kindness. I informed the General Center and our esteemed Chairman before and after the meeting. I will meet whenever our President wishes."
A BANNER GESTURE TO ERDOĞAN
As the discussions following the Erdoğan-Demirçalı meeting continued to heat up, Demirçalı made a notable move.
Before President Erdoğan's program in Yüreğir tomorrow, Demirçalı had a banner hung in the district saying, "Welcome to our Yüreğir, Mr. President."

In a statement today, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced that a CHP district mayor had been called to the Presidential Complex by President Erdoğan and expressed that he was invited to the AK Party.
Özel stated that the mayor informed him when he was called and after the meeting, saying, "I couldn't believe my eyes. 'I have a congress in February, will you join us?'
