Özçetin stated the following in his announcement:

"We regret to inform you that ŞERO, the cat of the CHP, which has been a source of smiles in Turkish politics for 20 years and has won the hearts of all animal lovers, has passed away this morning following the treatment process at our hospital. Due to his advanced age, which exceeded 20 years, and age-related health issues, ŞERO had been under observation at our hospital for a while, and unfortunately, he has left us despite all interventions.

Şero's medical process was meticulously monitored, and all necessary treatments were applied with the support of the latest technologies and our expert team. However, as a result of chronic health problems that developed due to age, he passed away in the morning hours. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the CHP Family and all his loved ones. May we all be consoled."
