In the case related to the traffic accident that resulted in the death of 3 people when a light commercial vehicle driven by Yahya K. collided with a truck with the license plate 38 HP 824 driven by A.Ö., a decision was made in the trial of truck driver A.Ö. at the Kayseri 8th High Criminal Court. Only the attorneys of the parties attended the verdict hearing. The defendant's attorney stated that there was no negligence in the incident and requested the acquittal of his client. As a result of the trial, the court panel sentenced truck driver A.Ö. to a judicial fine of 121,500 lira.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the incident that occurred in Kayseri on October 9, 2024; Yahya K. picked up teachers Oğuz Metin, Cafer Yıldız, Ömer Çelen, and Hasan Kale, who were teaching at a school in the Mahzemin neighborhood at the bus stop, to drop them off in the city center. When the vehicle driven by Yahya K. reached the Kayseri-Ankara highway, it collided with the truck driven by A.Ö. In the incident, Yahya K. and teachers Hasan Kale and Cafer Yıldız lost their lives.
