In Arnavutköy, Istanbul, it is alleged that a janitor added bleach to the lunch prepared for the school principal and some teachers. Following these allegations, the female janitor was arrested. Parents claiming that the woman was framed alleged that the school principal slandered her in order to give a position to someone he knows. The suspect's sister also stated, "He has been bothering my sister for a long time. Together with the new staff, they conspired against my sister."
In the Şeyh Şamil Primary School located in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, Züfre S., who works as a cleaning staff, allegedly added bleach to the chicken that was taken out of the freezer and was to be cooked in the pot on the counter, with the intention of poisoning the school principal, Y. B.
ARRESTED The situation was noticed quickly. The school principal went to the police station to file a complaint against the staff due to suspicion of poisoning. Züfre S. was detained by the police and was sent to the courthouse after her procedures at the police station; she was arrested and sent to prison.
SAMPLES TAKEN FROM THE MEAL After the incident, police teams conducted an investigation at the school. Samples were taken from the chicken dish and sent to the laboratory. It was learned that a chemical analysis would be conducted on the samples, and the clarity of the incident would be determined based on the investigation results.
"NOT A WOMAN WHO WOULD HARM HUMAN HEALTH" Züfre S.'s former colleague Gizem Yılmaz stated, "I worked in the canteen of this school three years ago. I have known Züfre for about 10 years. We worked together for three years. It is impossible for this woman to do such a thing. She is a woman who even takes care of living beings on the street. Moreover, she is definitely not a woman who would harm human health. As far as we know from our friend, they started to apply mobbing because they did not want her to work due to her being a permanent staff. Our friend reported this. After the complaint, inspectors started coming and going. After this incident, their relationship inevitably became strained. Then such a thing happened. This is absolutely not possible. This is a school; cleaning materials will be here, of course. Why is food being cooked in this school? Moreover, it is not seen that this friend added this to the meal. Why is she being accused? The principal said, 'I saw it with my own eyes.' If he saw it with his own eyes, then the camera must have seen what the principal saw. So where are these camera recordings? Why are they not being released? We want all the camera recordings to be released. We believe our friend is innocent and we want everyone who is at fault to be imprisoned," she said.
"NO ONE HAS BEEN POISONED; NO ONE ATE THE MEAT" Former School Family Association President Aysun Özer stated, "I also served in the School Family Association here for 2 years. Our friend has been at this school for 14 years. Yes, we are all sure that this is a conspiracy, including all the parents here. It is clear that this was done as revenge related to previous conflicts with this woman. They wanted to remove her from the dormitory. Since she is a permanent staff, no action could be taken against her; however, she was subjected to severe mobbing for this. They wore her down under this mobbing, but she is not a person who could do this. There are new cleaning workers this year who are siding with the principal. I am sure of this, and they did this. Additionally, the meat was not cooked before the criminal results came. There is no food in the middle. No one has eaten it. No one has been poisoned. Arrests are being made without poisoning. No one has eaten. The meat is kept here for 3 days. It is sent for criminal examination after three days. Why has it been kept here at the school for 3 days? When the principal presented this to our staff, our friend said, 'Sir, call the police. Take my statement, let me write my defense.' Why is such a thing not done on Monday, but a complaint is made on Tuesday evening? The meat leaves the school on Wednesday. This is a conspiracy set up against her because she reported it to the inspectors and the Ministry of National Education," she said.
"A MEAL COOKED AT THE SPECIAL REQUEST OF THE PRINCIPAL" Parent Arzu Kuloğlu stated, "My child is in the second grade at this school. I absolutely do not think such a thing happened. Züfre Hanım is a very long-time employee here. I have a 17-year-old daughter who graduated from this school. Whenever we say, 'Sister, we are sending the child,' she is the one who says, 'Don't hesitate, I will take them in right away.' She definitely cannot do such a thing. She has been completely slandered. There were problems with the principal before. Everyone knew this; there was no one who didn't know. All the parents knew as well. A decision was about to be made. We think that such a thing happened before the decision was made, but it is very wrong. Züfre Hanım did not deserve this; she absolutely did not deserve it. Because if you ask a 10-year-old child, they can never say anything bad about Züfre abla. It is a meal cooked at the special request of a few teachers or the principal. I do not know if Züfre Hanım cooked the meal. In fact, that day Züfre Hanım sees the chicken on the counter. She even looks at it, as far as we can see. Eti oraya koymuşlar 3 saat içinde hiç kimse yanaşmamış ete. Yukarıda müdür kameraya çekiyor onu. Fotoğrafını alıyor, videoya çekiyor. İzliyor kız kardeşim oradan dönerken. Oraya çamaşır suyunu da koyuyorlar; görünüyor. Temizlik personeli geliyor oraya diyor ki, 'Yemek çok acayip bir şey kokuyor. Çamaşır suyu kokuyor' diyor. Müdürüne, 'Hocam kameraya bakın' diyor. Hep beraber oraya gidiyorlar müdür de gidiyor. Diyor ki, "Evet, çamaşır suyu. Züfre hanım siz bana böyle bir şey mi kuracaktınız' diyor. Züfre de 'Ne diyorsun hocam sen. Nasıl konuşuyorsun. Çağır polisi' diyor. 'Ben öyle bir şey yaptıysam nasıl konuşuyorsun sen öyle' diyor kardeşim. 'Hadi hadi' diyerek yumuşuyor sonra da 'Senin yapmadığın videolarda çıkar' diyor sonra da 'Önemi yok' diyor. 2 gün öyle sallıyor; 2 gün sonra videoları karakola götürüyor. Yeni personeli kadroya aldırmak için kız kardeşimle zıttı. Zaten benim kız kardeşimle bayadır uğraşıyordu. Müfettişler gidip geliyordu okula. Daha önce böyle olaylarda yaşadılar kız kardeşimle.
