With the presidential decision published in the Official Gazette, the euro exchange rate used as a basis for determining drug prices has been increased by approximately 17% for the year 2026. Accordingly, the euro exchange rate to be used in drug pricing has been set at 25.33 TL, and the scale values have also been updated.
With the change in the decision regarding the pricing of human medicinal products, the euro exchange rate used to determine drug prices has been increased by approximately 17% for the year 2026. The regulation came into effect with the presidential decision published in today's Official Gazette.
STRIKING INCREASE IN EXCHANGE RATE
Within the scope of the decision, the euro exchange rate to be used in calculating drug prices has been set at 25.3346 TL for the year 2026. In the current application, this figure was at the level of 21.6721 TL. Thus, a striking increase has been made in the exchange rate used for drug pricing.
BASE VALUES HAVE ALSO BEEN UPDATED
With the new regulation, base values have also been updated. In line with the increase in the euro exchange rate, the base value for price-protected products has been raised to 87.34 TL, while the base value to be applied for other products has been determined as 45.64 TL.
