Nine personnel from the 12th Air Transport Main Base Command were martyred in the military cargo plane that crashed in Georgia while coming from Azerbaijan to Turkey.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) reported that a C130 cargo plane belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), which took off from Azerbaijan to come to Turkey, crashed in Georgia.
THERE WERE 20 PERSONNEL ON BOARD
In a statement from the MSB, it was stated, "A C130 cargo plane of ours, which took off to come to our country from Azerbaijan, has crashed in Georgia. Search and rescue operations have been initiated in coordination with the Georgian authorities. There were 20 personnel on board, including the flight crew. Search and rescue operations are ongoing. We respectfully announce to the public."
NAMES OF OUR 9 MARTYRED SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN REVEALED
It has been learned that 9 personnel serving at the 12th Air Transport Main Base Command in Kayseri were martyred in the plane that crashed in Georgia, which had 20 personnel on board.
The martyred personnel are; Air Pilot Major Serdar Uslu, Air Pilot Major Nihat İlgen, Air Pilot First Lieutenant Cüneyt Kandemir, Airplane Maintenance Master Sergeant Nuri Özcan, Airplane Maintenance Master Sergeant Ümit İnce, Airplane Maintenance Sergeant Burak Özkan, Airplane Maintenance Sergeant Emrah Kuran, Airplane Maintenance Sergeant Emre Altıok, and Airplane Maintenance Sergeant Burak İbbiği.
