The fire that broke out in the forested area in the Menderes district of Izmir is being intervened by air and land. A fire broke out in the forested area in the Karacadağ location for an unknown reason. Upon notification, 5 planes, 13 helicopters, 35 fire trucks, 7 water supply vehicles, and 4 bulldozers from the Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the region. The Regional Directorate of Forestry reported that the fire started at 12:53 and the first intervention was carried out at 13:05. The teams are trying to bring the fire under control through air and land intervention. MSB DISPATCHED 5 HELICOPTERSThe Ministry of National Defense (MSB) sent 5 military helicopters as part of the firefighting efforts. In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was stated that "3 Cougar-type helicopters and 2 CH-47-type helicopters belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces were dispatched to support the ongoing firefighting efforts in Izmir." SOME GREENHOUSES DAMAGEDDue to the fire, some houses in the forested area resembling hobby gardens were evacuated. Gendarmerie teams sounded sirens in the area where the houses were located and asked the citizens to leave the area.
