WHO IS MOHSENA AL-MAITHAWI?

Born in 1970 in the village of Libene in Suwayda, Al-Maithawi graduated from the Faculty of Commerce and Economics at Damascus University. A member of the Druze community, Mohsena al-Maithawi worked in the administration of the Dera district, which is part of Suwayda, in the 1990s and held various positions, including the head of the Treasury department. However, Al-Maithawi resigned in March 2023 due to corruption in the administration.
