The star midfielder of Premier League giant Tottenham, Yves Bissouma, has become a victim of a major fraud scandal. The British press revealed that the Malian footballer, who is on the transfer lists of Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, had £800,000 stolen from his bank account.
The bank account of Yves Bissouma, whom Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray wanted to add to their squad during the summer transfer season, was robbed of 800,000 pounds.
According to police records, the fraud occurred between September 2022 and June 2024. A suspect named Maurice Gomes, 31, was arrested following Bissouma's complaint. The prosecution announced that Gomes transferred £834,334 to his own account without the player's permission.

It was revealed that the suspect lived in a £1.4 million house in Enfield, London, and that the investigation into how he obtained the money is still ongoing. If the court process progresses, it was reported that Bissouma would testify as a witness.
GOING THROUGH TOUGH DAYS
After the scandal, those close to the star player said that he was psychologically affected by this incident. One source stated, "It's a very exhausting process for Yves. He is having a tough year both on and off the field."
The 29-year-old midfielder was transferred from Brighton to Tottenham for £30 million in the summer of 2022. However, this is not the first theft incident the star player has experienced. Last June, he was also attacked in Cannes, where his £255,000 watch was stolen.
COUTTS BANK AT THE CENTER OF THE SCANDAL
Coutts Bank, preferred by the royal family, billionaires, and celebrities, is now facing a serious security crisis. While the bank has not yet made an official statement, the British media reported this incident under the headline "major scandal at the bank of the elites."
