THEY BECAME ILL AFTER THE PEST CONTROL IN THE APARTMENT
The incident occurred last night in the 29th block of the 2nd Stage TOKİ Housing in the Gödene neighborhood. Pest control was carried out for bedbugs in an apartment on the ground floor. Some residents of the apartment reported feeling unwell due to the smell of the pesticide, leading to a notification due to suspected poisoning.
THEIR CONDITION IS GOOD
In response, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Twelve people, six of whom were from the same family, were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The building was evacuated during the night. Some residents stayed in guesthouses while others spent the night with relatives.
Measurements taken by AFAD's CBRN teams during their investigation of the building found no substances. The building was reopened for use in the morning. It was reported that the health conditions of those taken to the hospital are good. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
