Due to being under 18 years old, E.Ö. is expected to receive a reduced sentence. The indictment, prepared by the prosecutor and submitted to the Balıkesir 3rd Heavy Penal Court, requested an aggravated life imprisonment sentence for the murder suspect E.Ö. for the crime of "intentional murder with monstrous feeling or torture". Due to the suspect's age being under 18, the application of the article stating that "If the crime requires an aggravated life imprisonment sentence, a prison sentence of 14 to 20 years shall be imposed on individuals who have reached the age of 15 but have not reached the age of 18 at the time of committing the act, and a prison sentence of 9 to 12 years shall be imposed if the crime requires a life imprisonment sentence" was requested.

According to the indictment, after committing the crime, the suspect fled to his house in the nearby area, where he was caught while throwing his bloody clothes into the washing machine. It was also stated that the suspect's father, Orhan Ö., who is accused of instigating the crime, was also detained.

In his statement included in the indictment, E.Ö. explained that there was animosity between his father and his former religiously married wife S.D., and that he had consumed alcohol and went home late with his father on the day of the incident.

E.Ö. claimed that after his father fell asleep, he took the knife from the table and went outside when he started thinking about the problems he had with the woman. He stated that he encountered the victim Akman in front of the house and stabbed him because the young man insulted him.

Separate indictment was prepared for Orhan Ö., who was arrested on charges of being an instigator. In the separately prepared indictment, it was stated that Orhan Ö. constantly bothered the person after separating from his religiously married wife, and that the suspect was released on parole from Buca Open Penal Institution on May 2 due to another crime he committed.

It was stated in the indictment that Orhan Ö. went to witness K.Ş.'s house on May 4 and made threats to S.D., saying that he would harm her or the people in her house. It was also noted that the suspect later said to the people there, "I will not harm anyone in the house, but something will happen to someone in front of that house. I don't care who it is, my son or my father will do it. I raised a boy like a bullet."

According to the indictment, the suspect called S.D. on May 7 and used expressions like "I will have you killed by my father or my son". After these events, it was stated that E.Ö. went to the front of the residence in Karaoğlan Neighborhood where S.D. lived at around 01:48, and saw the victim Ata Emre Akman entering the apartment, and hid behind a car for a short time.

It was stated in the indictment that E.Ö. approached Akman with a knife in his hand when the victim came out of the apartment shortly after, and after a short conversation, he killed him by inflicting numerous knife wounds to his vital areas with monstrous feeling.

The prosecutor requested that Orhan Ö. be punished with aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "instigating murder with intention and monstrous feeling or torture", and that his sentence be increased due to the use of influence arising from the relationship of descent. It was learned that the court is in the process of evaluating the indictments.
