In line with the decision taken, additional payments such as honoraria and bonuses to public officials have been banned as of 2025.

With the new regulation, public employees will only be able to receive a salary for one position. A cap will also be placed on the total amount of this salary. This decision, taken within the framework of savings measures, will be implemented starting from January 1, 2025.

EXCESS SALARY WILL BE DEPOSITED INTO ESCROW ACCOUNT

The second salaries of public employees who hold multiple positions will be transferred to an escrow account by the relevant institution. Unpaid wages will be recorded as income in the general budget for administrations under the general budget, and in the budgets of other administrations, they will be recorded as income for the relevant institution.

BONUSES HAVE BEEN REMOVED

According to the news by Canan Sakarya from Ekonomim, the amount of 98,000 TL, found by multiplying the civil servant monthly coefficient by the indicator number of 108,000, has been determined as the total amount of monthly payments that can be made to public employees.
