In a statement from the ministry, a response was given to claims that the temporary government in Syria has "increased customs duties on imported products coming from the Turkish border." The statement indicated that joint efforts are being made regarding the revival of the economic development process in Syria, ensuring that the Syrian people have access to the products they need under suitable conditions, and delivering the products needed for the reconstruction activities in Syria. It was reported that discussions have been held and continue to be held regarding trade, customs, and foreign policy with Syria in line with evaluations related to the recent customs duty regulation. The statement mentioned that consultations were held with the Syrian side regarding customs duties, and it was recorded that: Meetings are planned to be held face-to-face next week. Our willingness to implement a new and more comprehensive free trade agreement between our countries has been mutually shared. Throughout the entire process of the new government's development efforts in Syria, our country's companies will continue to actively contribute. In this process, we would like to emphasize once again that we are ready to cooperate with our Syrian brothers towards common goals.
