In Osmaniye, the mosque imam and the muezzin were assaulted and injured by association members after a discussion following the evening prayer.

In an incident that occurred at Başdoğan Mosque located on Gebeli Street in the Karaçay neighborhood of Osmaniye, a dispute between the mosque's imam, Mehmet Demir, and a person alleged to be a board member escalated into a fight. As other individuals became involved, the fight intensified, resulting in injuries to imam Mehmet Demir and muezzin Nasuf Yılmaz from the blows they received. Imam Mehmet Demir and muezzin Nasuf Yılmaz went to the hospital to obtain a medical report and then filed a complaint at the Şehit Mehmet Çatal Police Station.

Mustafa Altun, the branch president of the Turkish Diyanet Foundation -Sen, who made a statement regarding the incident, said, "During the evening prayer, while Başdoğan Mosque's imam Mehmet Demir and muezzin Nasuf Yılmaz were on duty, they were attacked by the association president. As a union, we strongly condemn this attack on our two colleagues and we will follow up on the incident to ensure that this does not happen again. We condemn the incident again, and the association president who attacked our colleagues escalated the fight outside, while our teachers filed a complaint at the police station after obtaining a medical report. We stand by our teachers as a union." he stated.
