The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, made a statement regarding the KAAN aircraft, which has been in the spotlight due to discussions about its engine: "The great journey that began in 1973 is filled with obstacles and challenges, but we have complete confidence in the Turkish engineers and workers to reach the critical goal. Our KAAN draws its strength not from outside, but from our nation. Our national pride, KAAN, is behind us in the photo, and we stand firmly behind KAAN until the end!"
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, "The engines of KAAN, which we are currently waiting to receive, are being held up in the U.S. Congress, and their licenses are currently stalled. Their licenses need to be activated, and the engines must arrive so that the production of KAANs can begin." Following Minister Fidan's statement, discussions regarding the KAAN project intensified. The President of the Defense Industry, Haluk Görgün, commented on the discussions, saying, "To avoid risking our mass production, we are not relying on a single source; we are working with different supply channels and evaluating alternatives simultaneously."
STRIKING MOVE FROM ÖZEL
While these discussions continue, CHP leader Özgür Özel shared a photo of himself visiting the National Combat Aircraft KAAN, produced and developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), indicating their support for KAAN.
"KAAN DRAWS ITS STRENGTH FROM OUR NATION"
In a post on his social media account, Özel stated, "The great journey that began in 1973 is filled with obstacles and challenges, but we have complete confidence in Turkish engineers and workers to reach the critical goal. Our KAAN draws its strength not from abroad, but from our nation. Our national pride KAAN is behind us in the photo, and we stand firmly behind KAAN until the end."
