In a house fire in the Silifke district of Mersin, two children aged 1 and 7 lost their lives. The flames from the fire were also captured by a mobile phone camera.
Two children lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a two-story detached house in the Silifke district of Mersin.
MOTHER WENT TO THE MARKET, FIRE BROKE OUT FROM THE STOVE
The fire occurred in the morning hours in a detached house located on 220th Street in the Mukaddem neighborhood of the district. According to allegations, after father H.T. went to work, mother A.T. left her children, 1-year-old Ayaz and 7-year-old Poyraz, at home and went to a market about 300 meters away. During this time, a fire broke out from the stove. Upon returning from the market, the mother and bystanders noticed the fire and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Command Center. The center dispatched fire, medical, and police teams to the area.
2 CHILDREN'S LIFLESS BODIES REMOVED FROM THE HOUSE
Teams intervened and extinguished the house that was engulfed in flames. It was determined that the two children inside lost their lives in the fire. After the security forces and the prosecutor conducted an investigation at the scene, the bodies of the two children were taken to the hospital morgue. The mother, who lost her two children, cried out at the scene, and an investigation into the fire is ongoing.
