When I tried to get up, he aggressively grabbed me from behind by my neck and head, pulled me down, and pressed my face into his arm. He left serious scratch marks on my neck and back. I tried to get up again. He responded with kicks, leaving bruises on my arm. I want to make it clear that I did not bite him. My actions were definitely to get back up. There is no place in basketball for pulling someone down by their head or neck." BIBEROVIC'S RESPONSETarık Biberovic responded to this statement with the following words; "After the well-known incident in the Anadolu Efes match, I remained silent to prevent the issue from escalating further and harming the EuroLeague agenda and brand. However, I see that the opposing team player has made statements with many details that are absolutely not true, despite claiming that I did something days after the match. Nevertheless, I will try not to prolong the issue. My only goal at that moment was to get the opponent off me and return to the game. How the incident escalated and the actions of the opposing player are documented in the footage. All necessary information regarding the matter has also been shared with EuroLeague by myself and my Club. I would like to reiterate my regret for occupying the public with such an issue."
