MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu made striking statements regarding the referee decisions in the Galatasaray-Beşiktaş match and Arda Kardeşler.

"WILL NOT REFEREE FOR 4-6 WEEKS"

Speaking to Spor Gecesi Digital about the issue, Gündoğdu said, "There were 8 positions in the derby, we examined them. We also sent them to the consultants at UEFA. The consequences of his mistakes are that he will not referee for 4-6 weeks." Stating that he is against foreign VAR referees, Gündoğdu commented on the operation known to the public as the 'March 8 Decisions' taken during his previous term as MHK President, saying, "There was a need for a change in the refereeing system as soon as possible. I have never regretted this decision."

High-level companies have always made such decisions in their history and have done so quickly. None of those institutions have provided justification for the people they parted ways with. For some reason, this has become a necessity for us. We have an interest in things that are reflected as grievances. I find this normal. If we are to increase the brand value of football, there need to be some structural changes regarding the refereeing system."
