In his statement, Bahçeli said, "The exploitation of Mr. Ahmet Türk, who has serious health problems, is of advanced age, and belongs to a prominent family, is a treachery to stir up trouble between İmralı and the DEM Party, and is a product of the black campaign led by the CHP with external connections."

Ahmet Türk, responding to the words about him from the MHP leader, stated, "If we have a dialogue with the CHP today, it is because we are here to meet, talk, discuss with all political parties in Turkey, and to create a formula that will contribute to the solution of the problem.
