The MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who made evaluations on the current issues in the party group, made a striking statement by stating that the dismissed Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk, who was replaced by a trustee, was exploited by the CHP.

In his statement, Bahçeli said, "The exploitation of Mr. Ahmet Türk, who has serious health problems, is of advanced age, and belongs to a prominent family, is a treachery to stir up trouble between İmralı and the DEM Party, and is a product of the black campaign led by the CHP with external connections."

Ahmet Türk, responding to the words about him from the MHP leader, stated, "If we have a dialogue with the CHP today, it is because we are here to meet, talk, discuss with all political parties in Turkey, and to create a formula that will contribute to the solution of the problem. If there are really efforts for the solution of the problem and a democratic future with practical steps tomorrow, we can also meet with Mr. Bahçeli. Therefore, no one is in a position to exploit us."

Continuing his statement, Türk said, "Kurds know what they want," and added: "Kurds are aware and capable of distinguishing which project is a democratic project or which one is truly undemocratic. Therefore, there is no exploitation, but a correct practice can really bring all political parties in Turkey together to create a dialogue environment that will contribute to the solution. We are always extending our hand. They should put down the stick and reach out; we are ready to hold that hand."
