A police officer was found dead at home, shot in the head by his wife, in the Körfez district of Kocaeli.

POLICE OFFICER FOUND SHOT IN THE HEAD

The incident occurred in a building located on Şeyda Street in the Yavuz Sultan Selim neighborhood of Körfez district. According to the information obtained, police officer Sinan Cem Bayır was found shot in the head at home by his wife. Bayır's wife immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

HE WAS UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT

Health teams that arrived at the scene in a short time determined that police officer Bayır had passed away. After the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the body of the police officer was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. It was learned that Sinan Cem Bayır was undergoing cancer treatment, and the police launched an investigation into the incident.
