Two individuals who were released under judicial control after threatening a police team with a firearm in the Cide district of Kastamonu were re-arrested following an appeal.
Last night, two individuals who threatened police teams that went to the scene upon receiving a tip-off in the Cide district of Kastamonu were released. After the Public Prosecutor's Office appealed the decision, the individuals were taken into custody again.
The incident occurred last night on the Bartın-Ingbolu highway in the Cide district. According to the information obtained, teams from the Cide District Police Department went to the port area upon receiving a tip-off. T.D. and M.E.D., who were at the tip-off location, resisted the police team for unknown reasons. During the ensuing scuffle, one of the individuals pulled a gun on the police, while the other threatened by saying 'I wrote you down.'
THEY WERE RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
Later, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the area. T.D. and M.E.D. were taken into custody by the police teams that went to the scene. During the scuffle caused by the individuals, police officers M.H.M., G.M.D., and S.G. were slightly injured from blows to various parts of their bodies. The two suspects taken into custody were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station. The individuals were released under judicial control.
THE PROSECUTOR APPEALED, THEY WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AGAIN
After the individuals were released, the Public Prosecutor's Office appealed the decision. Following the appeal, a new detention order was issued for the individuals. T.D. and M.E.D. were taken into custody again by the police teams. After undergoing a health check at Cide State Hospital, T.D. and M.E.D. were taken to the Cide District Police Department. It was learned that the individuals would be sent to the courthouse again after their procedures.
