President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş came to Sivas to attend the certificate ceremony organized by the Sivas Provincial Mufti's Office for 190 hafiz, consisting of 124 girls and 66 boys. The ceremony held at Taha Akgül Sports Hall was attended by Erbaş, Sivas Deputy Governor İhsan Maskar, Mayor Adem Uzun, local protocol, and the families of the students. The program began with a moment of silence, followed by the reading of the National Anthem and a recitation of the Quran.
In his speech, President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş stated that they were organizing the most beneficial of ceremonies, saying, "Our Prophet Muhammad Mustafa, who teaches the Quran he received from our Lord to humanity, says that the best among you are those who learn and teach the Quran."
"O MUSLIMS! COME TOGETHER, GATHER FOR THE LOVE OF THE QURAN"
Erbaş recalled that in the past, the Islamic army under the command of Saladin ended the 88 years of Crusader oppression in Jerusalem, stating, "Today, in Jerusalem, a genocide is being carried out in collaboration with the Zionist Christians and Zionist Jews, who are the descendants of the Crusaders. Blood is being shed. Massacres are taking place. O Muslims, where are you?"
Ali Erbaş continued his speech: "When will you put an end to this genocide like Saladin and the Muslims in his army? Do we have to wait 88 years? It has been 76 years. Since 1948, oppression has continued there for 76 years. Let us pray. Hopefully, we will not have to wait 88 years for this oppression to end and for the tyranny of the Zionists there to cease, and for our prayers to be accepted. As soon as possible, with the unity of Muslims and the awareness of the world's conscientious people, let it not last 88 years. Let us not forget the hadith of our Prophet. When you see an evil, correct it with your hand. What are two billion Muslims doing with their hands today? While more than 20,000, nearly 30,000 babies are dying right before our eyes, what are we doing with our hands? We need to question this. This oppression will not disappear just by praying or saying 'Our hearts are burning.' O Muslims, O conscientious people of the world, come together. Gather. For the love of the Quran. Let us do whatever we can in accordance with this hadith of our Prophet and stop this oppression. Otherwise, this oppression will drown us all. The curse of the oppressed will reach us all. Let us not forget this. If you cannot do anything with your hands, then remove that evil with your tongue. And if you cannot remove it with your tongue, then do so with your heart, as our Prophet (peace be upon him) says. With our hands, our tongues, and our hearts, everyone must do what they can to eliminate this oppression.
After the speeches, President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş and his companions presented certificates to the students who completed their hafiz training and took a commemorative photo.
