"DAMAGE OCCURRED IN SOME FRUIT GROUPS"
Noting that the weather conditions experienced last month caused damage to some agricultural products, Erdoğan said, "It seems that we will face difficulties this year, especially in certain product groups. Our current assessments show that damage has occurred to varying degrees in some fruit groups such as apricots, grapes, apples, peaches, and nectarines." Emphasizing that there is no threat to food security, Erdoğan added: "Thank God, there is no danger regarding our food supply security in terms of strategic products. Our Ministry of Agriculture has been closely monitoring the process since day one, and we regularly receive the necessary information from our minister. During this process, we have once again seen the importance of agricultural insurance and the Farmer Registration System. Unfortunately, we are still far from the desired level regarding TARSİM, where up to 70% of the premium cost is covered by our state. I trust in your support for encouraging our farmers to register and obtain insurance."
"WE WILL ALWAYS STAND BY OUR FARMERS"
President Erdoğan stated that the opening of the 4th Agricultural and Forestry Council will take place today, saying, "We will touch upon many issues concerning our farmers there." Erdoğan, who said, "You are the closest witnesses that we have never left our farmers alone for 23 years," continued his remarks as follows: "Inshallah, we will continue to always stand by our farmers and producers. I thank you for your exceptional contributions to the development, strengthening, and progress of our agricultural sector. I would like to express our gratitude to all farmers in our country through you. May God keep our companionship, solidarity, and love everlasting. Inshallah, we will work together with our ministry against all these adversities such as frost, drought, etc., and provide all kinds of support to overcome this ordeal swiftly, hopefully with minimal loss. For this, both İbrahim Bey and Hakkı Bey should carry out these efforts quickly, make accurate decisions, and reach all our citizens."
