A bill of indictment has been prepared against Gökalp İçer, the owner of ICRYPEX, who was arrested on the charge of causing the death of lawyer Göksu Çelebi, from whom he allegedly obtained drugs, for the crimes of "trafficking or supplying narcotic or stimulant substances" and "intentional murder of a woman," with a request for life imprisonment and a sentence of no less than 15 years.
The owner of the cryptocurrency platform ICRYPEX, Gökalp İçer, has been indicted for causing the death of lawyer Göksu Çelebi.
27-year-old lawyer Göksu Çelebi, who was allegedly supplied with drugs by the suspect Gökalp İçer, passed away on August 19. The indictment states that İçer’s statements were aimed at evading the crime.
ALL DETAILS INCLUDED IN THE INDICTMENT In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that Göksu Çelebi worked as a lawyer in Ankara, while the suspect Gökalp İçer operated in the finance sector in Istanbul. It was stated that the parties met through a career-focused application towards the end of 2024. After their meeting, the suspect went to Ankara to meet with Çelebi, and after a while, the victim came to Istanbul, where they reunited. On the evening of July 13, 2025, they returned to Istanbul in a vehicle belonging to the suspect, dined by the seaside, and consumed alcohol. Initially, the victim planned to return to Ankara that same day but decided to stay in Istanbul. The suspect allegedly purchased approximately 8 grams of drugs for 800 dollars. The indictment also mentioned that they went to the address where the incident occurred together, used the drugs with the victim, and continued using the substance on July 14, 2025, around noon. It was stated that Çelebi began to tremble after using the drugs for the last time around 8:00 PM, and upon the increase of the tremors, the suspect called 112. Ambulance teams arrived at the scene, and the victim was taken to the hospital. According to camera footage, the suspect stayed at the hospital for a while and left after the victim's family arrived.
Gökalp İçer ALLEGEDLY SHARED THE DRUG MONEY In his defense, the suspect Gökalp İçer stated that he purchased a total of 8 grams of cocaine for 800 dollars, 4 grams for Göksu and 4 grams for himself, and that Göksu gave 400 dollars for the drugs, mentioning that he wanted to give part of the money. It was reported that they went to the house they rented together a year and a half ago around 8:00 PM, and Göksu went to the living room saying he would use a bit more drugs, while he stayed in the bedroom. About 15 minutes later, Göksu came to the bedroom, said he didn't feel well, and started to tremble. The indictment included that İçer tried to give Çelebi water and ayran, called 112 five times as the tremors increased, and that the ambulance arrived about 15 minutes later. After the first intervention, Göksu was taken to intensive care, and he waited at the hospital until 3:00 AM, leaving after his family arrived.
"ASKED AI" In the text messages with a person named Anka on İçer’s phone, it was found that the suspect sent a message saying, "I can't swallow, it happened suddenly, don't worry," to which Anka replied, "Get up, go to the doctor, could it be from cocaine? If you used it, tell me, I won't be mad." The suspect responded, "No, I didn't use it." It was noted that there were images resembling drugs in the phone's photo section, and that the suspect searched through artificial intelligence on the day of the incident, asking questions like "What happens if the pulse drops to 22, effects of an overdose of cocaine, what damage occurs after 15 minutes of pulse cessation, crisis after high doses of cocaine, coma resulting from cocaine crisis, is it possible to come out of this coma, why have they bandaged the eyes of someone in intensive care?"
REQUEST FOR MONEY FROM THE VICTIM WAS UNUSUAL In the indictment, it was stated that although İçer claimed in his statement that part of the money for the drugs was covered by the victim, the dollar bills allegedly given during the drug purchase could not be identified among the victim's belongings in the emergency room. It was noted that the suspect's request for money from the victim during the drug supply was contrary to the ordinary course of life, and this statement was aimed at evading the crime.
"GAVE DRUGS DESPITE FORESEEING THE POSSIBILITY OF DEATH" In the indictment, it was stated that İçer had previously contacted the person from whom he bought cocaine, went to the drug dealer with his own vehicle, and obtained approximately 8 grams of drugs. It was noted that he facilitated the victim's drug use without knowing whether the victim had previously used drugs and that he caused the victim's death due to drug use. Despite foreseeing that the victim could die, the suspect provided cocaine to the victim, who subsequently died after using the substance.
REQUEST FOR LIFE IMPRISONMENT The indictment requested that İçer be sentenced to life imprisonment and a prison term of not less than 15 years for the crimes of 'Dealing or Supplying Drugs or Stimulants' and 'Possible Intentional Murder of a Woman.'
