The U.S. Department of State has urged its citizens to leave Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen due to security risks.
The U.S. Department of State has issued a call for its citizens to "leave immediately" for 14 countries, including many in the Middle East, citing increasing security risks.
"LEAVE INSTRUCTION" FOR 14 COUNTRIES
According to a statement by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar to Reuters; U.S. citizens have been asked to leave Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen using commercial flights.
U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington.
In response, Iran attacked targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the U.S.-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 555 people had lost their lives and 747 had been injured in the bombings targeting the country.
